Despite Being Flawed, Loren Gets An Award!

Jen awarded me The Friendly Blogger Award for my post, An Unforeseen Friendship. It makes me very happy to tell the world about this unknown saintly man, Fredrick Gruzinski!

Thank you so much Jen. Big New York hugs to you in Oklahoma. (Yes, we do hug here sometimes, just not on the train, or subway.) See what Jen wrote to me and visit her wonderful blog talk'in 'bout my generation at "Are You There, God, It's Me, Generation X."

I'd like to pass The Friendly Blogger Award on to my friend Elizabeth, an expert chocolate-house-maker, a fantastic mother, an insightful writer, a devout Catholic, and an excellent friend. Elizabeth is the reason my blog exists. I had stopped writing before we met, because I could not find the time or motivation to do it. The fact that I was not writing was actually not healthy for me. (Yes, I need to imagine dialogue with my cat once in a while.) Through her example, I was inspired to start blogging. I contacted her by email and she helped me set up my blog. She has encouraged my writing for over a year. Thank you so much Elizabeth. Visit her at The Divine Gift of Motherhood.

That is always cool to hear from and talk to the person that inspired you/the person you inspired. Usually they tend to be one and the same!

Thank you so much for this Loren! I am honored to think I inspired you to use your God-given talent in this way. Like I told you, I have been more than rewarded by watching you blossom in your writing and by receiving your very valuable friendship!

Dear Internet Traveler,

Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.

Fondly,

Loren Christie
