Gratitude List

There are so many things to be thankful for and it is good for a person's overall mental and physical health to get into the mindset of gratitude. I'd like to hear what you are thankful for this week. Send me a comment.

I am thankful for:

1. rest and relaxation as demonstrated by my boarder, Mr. Norman Whiskers.

2. family time

3. my health

4. beautiful weather

5. good Friends

6. cherries and watermelons in abundance

Friends, a roof, a bed, a shower... uh, yeah, I just got back from four days of camping (with some rain) and home seems quite nice now. :)

I am thankful that "Dude, Where Am I?" is on the shortlist of places on the Web where I am not bombarded by commentary on Michael Jackson.

I am thankful that no serious damage was done to my right shoulder and left knee at last week's softball game (though I will likely miss the remaining three games as the separated shoulder heals).

I am thankful that the usual opressive heat of summer in DC has not yet begun.

I am thankful that my father-in-law made it through his triple bypass surgery successfully.

I am thanful for eBay for helping to get a CD that I have been seeking for more than 20 years.

That is a great photo of Mr. Norman Whiskers!

I am grateful for a lot this week.
1. Music
2. My husband and our relationship
3. Moving into our new apartment
4. All the wonderful wedding presents we received
5. Yummy fruit! I've been eating lots of watermelon too!
6. The nice weather lately, despite today's little showers.

Dear Internet Traveler,

Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.

Fondly,

Loren Christie
