Gratitude List

Today my Lady has so kindly let me guest post for the weekly gratitude list, as the summer weeks find her quite occupied. So I would like to acknowledge my number one gratitude and teach you a little relaxation exercise, cat style.

This week I am thankful to that Great Cat who sent His angels to lift me from a busy street on Christmas Eve and deliver me into the safety of this wonderful cat haven, the Christie House. I just love it here and I can not imagine how heaven could be better, (unless there are catch-able rats at my disposal and a sleeping Blue Jay whose claws and beak I can tie whilst he is unawares. When he wakes up I could stick my tongue out and then proceed to mock him. That would be endless sport!)
That's my gratitude/wish list and now here's a little gift for you. Get down on the floor and do the following cat Yoga pose for relaxation. I call this position Chicken Surrender. Lay down on your back and extend your arms up over your head. Hold the pose for six hours. AHHH! What a constructive use of a day!

Aww, that's so cute! And I love the last photo of Mr. Whiskers basking in the sunlight!

Adorable. I love cats. I have two of my own. I can't believe we haven't hung out yet. We will definitely have to look for each other at Blogher.

Hi Mr. Whiskers, While you're in thankful mode just remember to be nice to my friend Hell Hound who is sharing her house and family with you.

You tell him, Lover Bear. Show a little love for Hell Hound, cat.

A "heads up" FYI: David Barlow of Ephraim, Utah (Mr. Putz) has now apparently begun using his son Daniel's blogname to make comments. He is now "Daniel" and not "Putz" if the horrific spelling is any indication.

Receiving this information is yet something else for which to be grateful.

Thank you for the secret intelligence Mr. Brague. :)

Dear Internet Traveler,

Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.
