Writing Contest

Check out the great writing contest at the blog Tales of the Extraordinary Ordinariness. There is a treasure-like bag of prizes for one lucky winner. My blogger friend Steena from Chocolate Reality will add to the prize if you win by entering through her site. The contest ends Sunday, July 26th at 11:59 p.m., so it's a tight deadline. Good Luck writers!

Loren, I enjoyed reading your submission! The fortune cookie was awesome - made me gag which is what I think you intended!

Thanks for the post - make sure that your readers leave a comment on my blog so that I know they submitted an entry to the contest :)

Hi Caity, Steena, it's so nice to hear from you. I think this contest was hard! I had a story already that I could reshape to fit the guidelines. I hope I win too. Thank you very much for the supportive words. :)

My Lady,
The questionable chicken story filled me with horror and dread. Very Poe-ish, I might add, and not my taste. Read me that bed time story with the lost mittens so I can forget the grim tale- quick!

Dear Internet Traveler,

Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.
