A friend of mine from college, and a frequent commenter here, Greg Twachtman, recently wrote a feature story on Neal Morse's music for the site The Breakdown Room. Here's what Greg says about the story:
"The article is an interview with Neal Morse discussing his work on the latest Transatlantic album. What is of particular interest is that this is the first 'secular' album that Neal (vocals / keyboards) has performed on since hearing God’s calling in 2002 and leaving his “day job” band – Spock’s Beard – as well as putting on hiatus any further work with Transatlantic to write exclusively Christian-based music. The article covers how he balanced the following of his Christian muse in the context of a secular album. It is quite interesting (to me anyway and my friend/editor-in-chief likes it as well). I pursued the interview because I have been a fan of his since the Spock’s Beard days and continue to purchase his Christian albums. ...I think your audience, who like you, have a good, solid foundation in their faith might appreciate it (and might even be motivated to explore some new music)."
I also find it interesting when spiritual change makes a marked difference in a person's life. I'm happy to share Greg's feature. You can find it at:
