Presentation on Elizabeth Oakes Smith

I did a presentation called Finding Elizabeth: Uncovering the life of local poet, activist and lecturer Elizabeth Oakes Smith for The Greater Patchogue Historical Society on June 17th at 7 p.m. in the Patchogue-Medford Public Library.
Thank you to everyone who came to listen to me for an hour. I had so much fun, and learned some really interesting details about EOS that I didn't know from some of the attendees.
I hope to return to this forum to give a talk on Seba Smith and the children of EOS. I'll post the date and time here if I am scheduled to speak again.

  3. Hi

I was wondering if you might help me with some research that may begin and end with a few photo's. I have recently purchased a religious sampler with the name Elizabeth Smith, I have looked up the name and keep on coming back to your Elizabeth. Did Oakes Smith ever make anything like this?

I look forward to hearing from you

    Best regards
    Chris
