Girls' Brunch

Birthday Brunch at American Girl Place, NYC. The Princess enters her Socrates phase. Her question of the day:

"Do mailmans deliver their own mail to themselves or do other mailmans do it?"

That is too funny! And, you are a brave woman for going to that American Girl Doll Chaos, I mean Cafe. When I walk by there, I thank God for boys (but then I get sort of sad that tutus and ballet slippers are probably not in my future).

Hi Romy,
We had a blast. This really tall, manly waiter brought a petite little doll seat, and a mini china cup and saucer to the table. My mom and I were doubled-over laughing at him. Apparently, being a waiter at American Girl Place is a good gig- so he said. The food was awesome and the princess was in little girl heaven.

Gone are the days of real milk men, unless you count grocery home delivery- a lifesaver when you have so many kids there is no room in the cart for the groceries. I'll let the Princess ask our mailman.

Dear Internet Traveler,

Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.
