More Snow, More Blessings
This morning the view from my bedroom window was so amazing. Snow is such a beautiful gift from heaven during such a dismal season. I spent the morning eating my breakfast with MLK Jr.'s voice bellowing in the background. There are so many blessings, and reasons for hope: a leisurely day off, beautiful weather, and the gift of family. Happy Birthday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Here's the view from my window. The picture doesn't really do it justice.
Dear Internet Traveler,
Welcome to my writer's blog, started about six years ago for fun. Over time, the writing I have posted has ranged from personal reflection, to Long Island history research, to tall tales for my own amusement, to feature articles for local newspapers. As you can see from topics listed here, I travel in many mental directions in regard to interests. Click on the tabs and labels to explore my strange mind which senses that you may be having a criss-cross day. If so, perhaps this blog will distract you. However, please note that if you tell me my blog is beautiful just to get me to advertise rhinoplasty surgery and cheap drugs from Canada in your comment, I will ask the gods to give you a tail that cannot be concealed.
Fondly,
Loren Christie

YES, I AM ESPECIALLY AWARE of dr. king's birthday today...people in utah sometimes resent having a holiday for him, but i have such respect for the man and his peaceful ways and his awful death

Thanks for visiting my blog. What is the wire mesh on the window? or outside?
Can't believe the weather. I live in southern California, and haven't seen this is 23 years.
Love your positive attitude.
That wire mesh is the window screen in my bedroom. I know, I'm not winning any awards for photography, but I was sooo excited that I just grabbed my camera where I was. I guess I could have walked outside, or climbed out onto the roof....Maybe not. :)
"so many blessings, so many reasons for hope." I love that line. great music, too.
Thanks for visiting Jen, and for the kind words.
